I'm going to go see one of my kids and I'm running a little late so
instead of stopping by the office (like I usually do) I decide to just
head straight over there. I'm on the wrong street but I'm pretty sure I
know how to get there from where I am. I'm no longer in my car but am
walking. I run into Michael Richardson who starts telling me about some
weird medical condition he's got going on. Then a whole bunch of other
people come over and he's talking about how he wants to go to the bear
house that night (no clue what that is). I'm about to start heading to
my kid's house when this woman come and gets me and says I have to go in
and fill out all this paper work.
So I start filling it out and then
the woman comes back and tells me I'm going to be counted late if I
don't hurry up and get it done. So I go back to the office and there is a
ton of stuff for me to fill out. It's going to take hours. The woman
who is my supposed boss was my old boss from my job in high school.
She's telling me websites to go to to print stuff off and to hurry.
It's getting later in the day and it's almost time for me to be off work
but I still haven't seen my student from that morning. I call her and
get her dad's voice mail. We had just been talking about something and
his voice mail addresses exactly what it was we were talking about (I
can't remember what it was). We all start laughing. Justine Gladden
comes over and offers to sit with me while I fill out all the papers,
which I think is extremely kind of her.
My office is now in this water
world type setting. There's water from the edge of my office extending
out and in the middle of it is this Soviet (???) with a gun keeping
guard. All the sudden, these two men on four wheeler/jet skis come and
open fire. They kill my boss and the other people in my office. I
take off across the water trying to get away.
I decide to run to the
Soviet because I know he'll open fire. I run towards him and get down
low so that he shoots the bad guys instead of me. He shoots one and
then purposely shoots the other saying how they had killed a little girl
last week. All the sudden, I'm this big hero and everyone's
congratulating me and I go up to where all these people are. They
congratulate me and we talk about watching a movie later.
I get done
with them and I go to wash my hands. As I'm walking back down I see
that Anthony Jackson has taken over for the Soviet guy and he's wearing
this green scarf. I think about how weird it looks but go over to say hi
anyway. There's a bunch of people that are about to watch a tv show
right there and Zack Morris then takes over the dream. He does a recap
of the lessons learned and then get on to his robot, Wall-E, for selling
tickets behind his back. Weird.

The Syringe You in the Neck Guy Dream
I'm hanging out with my wonderful friend Sara Spadaro and we're over at her house. We're the only ones there and all of the sudden we hear a knock upon the door. For some reason, we know that this is no good. In fact, I immediately look for somewhere to hide (paranoid much?). I crawl under the bed and I hear the door open. I can hear a man's voice and he starts looking around. Somehow I am making the bed stick up so he knows I'm under there. He finds me and takes me and Spadaro to the garage. Somehow, we escape from him and lock him in there long enough for us to get away.
We run outside and are screaming at the top of lungs. We're trying to find somewhere to go where we will be safe. Across the street I see a woman outside and the garage door is open. She says we can come in there, her husband should be home soon. We go inside and then a whole group of women (the lady's friends) arrive and come in the house, as well. We look outside and see her husband. He's looking all cheesy and smiling and waving at us when suddenly the guy comes up behind him and syringes him in the neck!
We all freak out and start screaming. Everyone starts running around trying to get out of the house. I find a window that leads out to the backyard. I climb through it and get outside. Then I hop the fence (like it was nothing, I might add) and run up the hill to the woods that is behind these people's house. Everyone follows me which makes me nervous, because clearly crazy guy is going to see this large mass of people.
I get into the woods and run into my friend Justin Pipkin. He's sitting there playing a banjo. He asks what's going on and I (much too calmly for a person who could be syringed any moment) tell him all about it. Right then, we see the guy and everyone starts freaking out again. This guy is just syringing people left and right, like it was nothing. Then I realize, there is one of him and like 40 of us. I yell to everyone this realization and say let's just tackle this guy. I get the crowd all riled up and we start toward where he is. I lead the crowd in a rousing rendition of fight! fight! fight! (you know, the kind everyone yells when there's a fight at school).
The guy is in a bar now, so we go in and we get to him. He syringes the first guy in the neck and right as we're about to tackle this guy, he gets me in the hand. I knock the syringe out of his hand and he looks at me and says, ha I got you. Then someone picks it up and syringes him. He dies. I ask if anyone is a doctor. There is a lady nearby who says she is a doctor. I have her look at my hand and she says, it's nothing to worry about. Unconvinced, I walk outside the bar and ask if anyone else is a doctor, not that I don't trust you, I say to the first lady, I just want a second opinion. There is another doctor who looks at my hand and says I'll most likely be fine but I should probably go to the hospital just in case. The end.

The Killer Manatee Christmas Special Dream
It’s Christmas time at First Assembly which of course means
lots of people, things to do, and food to eat.
I’m strolling through the sanctuary and decide to visit my good friend
Kasey who is outside the nursery. I then
head back down the hallway on my way to class (apparently I go to school at
First Assembly now). I get to my class
and there are a bunch of us in there and we are playing Christmas bingo. The professor, who happens to be professor Arzt
from LOST, is up there calling out the places on the card and I get bingo.
I’m telling him what I
have when all the sudden he starts going off on how irresponsible Jessie
is. I am so taken aback that he would
talk about her like that in front of the whole class. So I go off on him and tell him how
unprofessional that is for him to be talking about her like that in front of
everyone and if he has a problem with her he should settle it with her (even in
my dreams it’s been engrained in my head to resolve conflict Biblically). We are arguing pretty heatedly and I finally
make him so mad that he literally stomps to the back of the room and then runs
out. We consider class over and I’m
determined not to come back to his class so I grab my pictures off the bulletin
board.
As I’m walking back down the hall to try and find someone of
the pastoral nature to tell them what just happened, I pass by a classroom with
infants and toddlers. One of the
toddlers is choking so I go in and realize they have it under control. I go back out in the hall and I see my friend
Codi. We are now walking through a
clothing store. The clothes are really
cute but everything is Nintendo themed.
So sweaters have Yoshis on them and shirts are embroidered with Mario. I express my distaste for how the characters totally
ruin the clothing and so we leave.
I’m back at the church and me and a bunch of friends decide
to go to the pool. So we hop in a car
and go. Rachel Stafford is in the front
seat and Clay Woods is in the back with me and a few other people. When we get there I’m the first one to jump
in and when I plunge underwater I notice there is a manatee right beside
me. As everyone knows dream-manatees are
very dangerous and no longer herbivores but ferocious human eating beasts. So I naturally alert those nearby to quickly
pull me out before the manatee gnaws off my leg. As they’re pulling me out he grabs my leg
with his gums (apparently he gums his victims to death). They yank me out and we decide to leave.
We’re driving down the road and we see up ahead there is
a man lying across the street. We stop
and I get out and ask the man who is standing nearby if the man lying in the
street is okay. He says he doesn’t
know. So I go over the man to check on
him. He is unconscious so I shake him to
see if he will wake up. He does and is
very confused. Then he sees the man that
was standing nearby and pulls out a gun.
I ask the now conscious man to not shoot the other man. I tell the other man to leave and he would
get a head start from the police, whom I was obviously going to call. The man leaves and the now conscious man puts
away the gun.
He wants to know why all these people are standing around
and I tell him they were worried about him.
There is a strange looking woman there and she also has a gun, but she
puts it away quickly when she notices I’ve seen it. The man wants to talk to someone besides me
so I go and get Clay (I guess cause he’s a guy?) and while they’re talking I
try to yet again reach a pastoral type and yet again receive no answer. The closest I can get is Michael Richardson
and he and Tiffany are on their way out of town. And there, as abruptly as most dreams end, my
dream ceases. The end.

The Day the Angel Left the Beach Dream
So I'm down at my room on the beach (cause apparently I have one of those) and I'm going to go out and lay out for a bit (we all know I'm super white), but there's this frog out there and so I'm messing with this frog. I get bored of the frog and I walk back up to my apartment. Emily has cleared out the space outside of my room and we have this whole new extra living room space all the sudden. I ask her why we haven't done this before and hung out in there. She says she's having some people over that night and that's what they were going to do. Adam comes over to get something and he asks me how this area in Conway is because he and two of his friends are looking at houses there. I tell him that's way too far away. He doesn't seem to care (typical).
Then Frankie comes over and I'm talking about my little tiny beach house thing and he doesn't know about it so I take him to show it to him. As we're walking down there, Darreth shouts out the window, but I can't really hear him and I don't realize it's him. I just know someone's yelling. So we make it down there and I see Faith and she tells me that Darreth is yelling at me that I need to come back right then. At that moment, I remember what happened last time. Suddenly, Frankie starts acting crazy.
I try to get to get him to come back but he starts resisting so I grab his arm and I'm trying to pull him back but that's not working either. Adam runs down from the apartment and he grabs his other arm and we get him upstairs. He starts to calm down once he's off the beach. Darreth comes in and is so mad because the same thing happened to him and I should have remembered. He pulls out the calendar and reminds me that today is the one day that the angel who lives on the beach (yeah, we have an angel that lives on the beach in my dream, you know, no big deal) is gone and when the angel is gone, people start to go crazy down there. I can't believe that I forgot and I am so apologetic.
Then I'm back on the beach but now it's this peninsula type thing that gets more narrow the farther down it you go. I'm on a horse and there is an evil spirit that is on the beach (guess cause the angel's gone). I'm riding the horse down the beach and there are all these knights on horses. We're dodging them as we gallop down the beach trying to evade this evil spirit.
This giant thing appears in the sky and spits out fire and kills all the knights in its path. Then it lands on the beach and it's in the shape of the evil spirit's head. I stop my horse and turn around and I call out the evil spirit's name. When I do, the giant thing opens and out walks what looks like the bad guy from Power Rangers (Lord Zed). I ask the evil spirit if his name is Ben, he replies yes. I tell him that my name is Ben, too, (apparently I'm a boy in this part of the dream) and that I was named after him. I ask him to have mercy on me because I was named after him and he says that we can go. But then something happens to make him mad and he changes his mind. So, I leap off my horse into the water and swim away and escape him.

The Hoovercraft Mall Fight Dream
I'm walking through church when all of the sudden there's this crazy laser attack (laser attack?!). At this point my dream becomes extremely morbid and I'll spare you the details. After the laser attack (again, laser attack?!), I go with a group of people to film this movie or tv show or something like that. The people I'm with apparently came up with the idea and the script and everything and I'm just kind of there.
This guy comes and says that we all need to leave. Our funding had been cut and we had pretty much been fired. I could tell that the whole plot concept was really weird so I pull the guy aside and ask him what they were even doing. He goes over their ideas with me and as he's flipping through his notebook of stuff I see random Christmas songs that have musical staffs but no notes on them, like it was a worksheet and you had to fill in the notes to the song. He keeps going and he has these great writing prompt worksheets. I comment on how I wish I had had those when I taught second grade (now that I think about it, why does this guy have Christmas songs and second grade worksheets in his movie/tv script notebook?).
However, now we're stuck on this ship/hoovercraft weird thing. With our funding cut we don't know what to do or where to go and the people on board start to get a little crazy. The guy from earlier (the one who said we were fired) goes psycho and says we have to do something and wants to kill this other guy by throwing him into some weird glowing light something that I know would kill him. I get in front of the guy he wants to kill and tell him no. Then he gets all mad and tells me it's because I'm in love with this guy (obviously not wanting someone to be unecessarily murdered equals in love with, duh). I tell him that's not the reason and talk him out doing it.
Then this guy decides that we can get out of there if we try so he gets the ship to work and we zoom off. We fly to the middle of this forest/jungle thing and there is a little bald headed, white bearded man who is floating (I read Harry Potter yesterday). We ask who he is and he says god. At this instance, I'm in a room with a lot of people and all of this is a movie I've been watching. The little Dumbledore look-alike says he's just kidding and I turn to the person I'm sitting next to and say "whew, that was about to be questionable."
I realize how cold it is in this room and I say so. Someone sees a coat on the floor and offers it to me. It's this really ugly red patterned coat. When he passes it to me I ask Cat Davis if it's her coat. She says yes, takes it from me, and puts it on. But when she puts it on, it's this super cute red pea coat (the power of Cat). I'm still cold, so this guy is about to offer me his scarf (his scarf?! What the heck is his scarf going to do to keep me warm?). Luckily he decides against it, which is good because he's this guy I didn't like from high school and I was going to have to reject his scarf anyway.
The movie is over and I go to the gym. The treadmill I'm on has another person (Brooke) on it. We're both on the same treadmill. My time is over so I think it's going to stop but Brooke's time wasn't up so the treadmill keeps going but I don't realize that so I fall into Brooke and knock her off the treadmill. I apologize and she doesn't mind and I leave (not really sure what this has to do with the rest of the dream, kind of just stuck in there).
Then I go to the mall and I find these really cute shoes I like but I want these teal shoelaces to go with them. There is another pair of shoes with teal shoelaces so I'm going to switch them out but then Becca Winslow decides she wants the shoes with the teal shoelaces. I try to persuade her to switch shoelaces but she's not having it.
I go out into the mall just in time to see this insane fight going on between my roommate Emily and her sister Ashlee. They are seriously beating the crap out of each other. I get in there and break it up. Emily and I leave and we realize that we're late to this thing we're supposed to be going to. We get to my car and there is a ticket on it, but I'm in North Little Rock. I tell Emily that it's time for one of my cop friends to come through and take care of this ticket for me. We drive off and that's it.

The Killer Panda Bear Dream (5/6/10)
I'm in this park with Leigh Thomas and a bunch of other people (but she's the only one I can remember) and all the sudden this killer panda bear comes and attacks everyone. It's pretty vicious and taking people out right and left. I'm trying to run away but it follows anyone who moves. So I try to get away from all the other people so it will attack them and not me (real noble, right?). I get away from it, but it's killed almost all of my friends (not sure if Leigh made it or not, hoping for her sake she did).
Then we're in this building instead of the park (I think it was the church actually). I'm trying to warn everyone there about the killer panda. I tell them that all these people are dead and how sad I am. I take them to show them all the people but they're gone. Then I realize that I could go lock myself in this room so that the panda couldn't get to me. The other people decide that naturally the best course of action is to burn down the park/building (what brilliant people fill my dreams).
Then I'm at the lake by the Old Mill and the lake is drained. I realize that I'm all by myself and thus an easy target to spot for Mr. Killer Panda. I start running to get back to where everyone else is while trying to not run in to the panda on the way. I get back to where everyone is and they've decided that since they haven't seen the panda in a while it must be gone and so everyone just goes back to normal (like I said brilliant people). I, of course, realize this is absurd and that there is still a killer panda on the loose somewhere. The end.

The Mediterranean Sea Eating People Dream
I was riding my bike to the bank (wasn't feeling the car that day I guess) and one of my tires goes flat. I realize it but keeping going and make it to the bank. I'm trying to get out some money but the bank is having issues so I can't get the money I need. I leave and see a group of people I know a little ways down the street.
We're by this river and it's got these huge waves going and there are people's houses lined down this river like it was a street. As the waves are going I see that people are in the river in front of their houses. But then they disappear like the river is eating them. It, for obvious reasons, freaks me out but the group of people I'm with go down the river a little ways and there is a part of it that's like a pool. They're all excited about swimming so they all get in.
Emily (my roommate) is there and she tells me to come get in, too. However, I did just watch this same river eat people just a few minutes ago so I'm a little leery. Against my better judgement, I go ahead and get in with everyone. In my head, I know that this is the Mediterranean Sea. When I get in the water stings, like when you have a cut and you get in a chlorine pool. Except it stings everywhere. It was a really weird feeling but I guess I got used to it. I'm not nervous anymore about it eating me because I can feel the bottom of the pool.
Then we all get out and I go somewhere where there is a class of kids. I'm with Leigh Thomas and we're sending these kids to the bathroom. They're being really noisy so I get them quiet in my fantastic second grade teacher way that I do (it was good to know I still had it). They all go and come back and they're sitting down in desks. On the wall, there is a pocket chart and spelling words in them. I say how much I'd love to do the spelling lesson since I haven't gotten to do one since I taught second grade. So Leigh hands me the spelling words. Dream over.

On the wall, there is a pocket chart and spelling words in them. I say how much I'd love to do the spelling lesson since I haven't gotten to do one since I taught second grade. So Leigh hands me the spelling words. Dream over.

The Tornado/Sock Dream
I was at Christmas with my family in Cabot, but for some reason my dad wasn't there. So I was going to go call him, but my phone wouldn't work. I decide to go all the way to my parents' house to go get him. So, I get in my car and I'm driving down 67/167 (the wrong way to get to my parents' house by the way) when I see these huge, really black clouds ahead. I mean, they are these masssive, completely black and crazy looking clouds that I'm pretty sure don't really exist in nature and if they do I hope to never encounter them. They're big and menacing but they're moving away from me. Then a see a tornado touch down and I think, as any normal person should, oh I should probably pull over. But instead, I decide the clouds look like they're heading the other way so I'm going to just keep driving (dream Sara is not an incredibly wise person). One of the black clouds passes over my car and everything goes completely pitch black. I feel my car being lifted off the ground and then put back down.
I get out of my car and realize it's not driving anywhere far from there. So I drive it to the other side of the road and park it somewhere where I think it won't get towed. Then these two ladies come over (who happened to be Ms. Garrett and Ms. Crain if you ever worked at Crystal Hill) and say they can figure out exactly where to put my car so it will be the safest for the low price of $7.50. Being the cheap person that I am, I refuse to pay that and say I'm fine with where it is. I'm going to walk at this point and there are some people actually waiting on me (not too sure where they came from). Where my car was, this building appeared (since they often build buildings over the freeway?), but I realize that this building is starting to collapse. I run and get out of there just as the giant garage door is crashing down. However, I realize that my phone and my glasses are still in there.
I'm going to walk but I don't have any shoes on (apparently I was feeling the shoeless Arkansan stereotype that day). I look down and a pair of my shoes are on the ground (that same shoe that was featured on an episode of Lost I might add). So I get out my purse socks (my favorite pair of socks that live in my purse for such an occasion as this) but I realize one of my socks is still in that building. Apparently, I care more about those socks than my phone or glasses because I am determined to go back into the collapsing building to find my sock (like I said, dream Sara is not very wise). The building has that weird garage door and I somehow lift it (dream Sara is incredibly strong on the other hand) and I spot my sock. I run in and get it just in time. I put on my socks and shoes on and me and my people that came out of nowhere start walking. After a pretty short walk, we end up at the church and I start talking about how I wonder if insurance will cover what just happened to my car.

The Horseman Dream
I was at my parent's house about to take a shower. But then there are about 5 or 6 other people in the bathroom. We all get into the bathtub (fully clothed, promise) to have some kind of weird service. There was also a dress in there and I make a comment about how I had never gone to a quinceañera (the coming of age party for Hispanic girls of 15) before. I tried to move in the bathtub, but every time I did there was this elephant that would ram me into the wall (how he fit in there with all 6 or 7 of us I do not know). I couldn't move anywhere without that stupid elephant ramming me. So I realize I have to get out of there.
I run outside to try and escape it. I'm running down the street and I jump onto the side of a car that's driving by. The people inside are not too happy. They tell me, not too kindly, to get off their car. I try to explain to them what's going on. However the elephant (which has now turned into a horse, weird) is catching up with us. I know that if I don't get off the car, he will ram the car and hurt the people inside. So being the incredibly selfless person that I am (in my dreams anyway) I hop off the car and let the elephant/horse catch me.
The horse turns into a man, but I know that he's really a horse. He takes me away to his lair and says he's going to pretty much keep me there forever. I am not happy, mainly because I'm stuck there forever, but also because I know he's a horse and he's going to forget all about me in like an hour (apparently horses are forgetful?). I try to tell him this and I grab his arm while telling him. He immediately recoils and tells me I'm going to mess up his fur. I tell him to calm down and I'll be sure to brush him afterwards.
